Tabreed SBS cooling pads consist of corrugated sheets of cellulose gathered in an opposite sequence with a ''bee-hive'' structure which generates air flow inside the cell.

Since that most poultry houses with tunnel ventilations are not sufficient to derive the genetic growth potential from the chicks. Tabreed SBS cooling pads and system isconsidered a very important ingredient in combining the tunnel ventilation property of the poultry houses to provide the chicks with the optimum environmental conditions required for their healty growth.

The highest levels of performance from fully feathered broilers can be obtained in still-air temperatures below 26 degrees celcius. In most poultry houses, the still air temperatures can range from 19-26 degrees celcius, if temperature exceeds this range, its known that it can distort the growth potential of those broilers.

Countries with rough climates can have an atmospheric temperature of 37 degrees celcius or sometimes even above, this always poses negative implications on the growth rates of crops inside the green houses, encouraging endothermic chemical reactions by the plant that distorts their growth rates.

Ventilations systems centralized cooling and heating systems in addition to supplemental lighting have contributed to extend the applications of green houses to year round cropping on relatively larger scales.

Cooling of green houses is necessary to maintain a temperature that shouldn't exceed 24 degrees celcius for the healty growth of crops. High temperatures are known to cause loss of strengt, reduction of flower size and delay of crop flowering. Tabreed SBS cooling pads helps to maintain a high relative humidity at a constant temperature, which doesn't fluctuate during day light. Hence endorsing the healty growth of crops.

Maintenance

Disintegration of the cell pads can be minimized by maintaining a continuous ''bleed-off'' or by periodically filing the stump. Tabreed SBS can assist you by recommending indivual ''bleed-of'' rates. In that case fractional timers shouldn't be used, as they do not enhance the performance of the cooling pads and they contribute to the development of scales which result in reducing the air flow.

If algae are allowed to grow on Tabreed cell pads, it may eventually block the flutes and prohibit the air flow from entering inside the cell pads. This leads to an increase in static pressure and reduces the performance and effiency of the cell pads. The growth of the algae can be controlled or reduced by either early maintenance techniques or by applying black coated polishing to the cell pads. Chlorine or bromine shouldn't be used on the cell pads as a means of preventing the growth of the algae.
